God Bless America

This last Sunday, I took a really long, open ride on my motorcycle. I had no idea where I was going but I ended up going up the 5, off at Encinitas and decided to take the 1 down the coast, one of my favorite rides 🙂

Interestingly enough, at the end of my journey, after I had stopped in Solana Beach for lunch, then down to Del Mar for coffee and a quick video call to say hi to my family and the nephews, then finally ended up down cruising Sunset Cliffs. I did two laps at Sunset Cliffs because it was SO BEAUTIFUL my eyes couldn’t GET ENOUGH.

As I headed back towards my house, I started singing a song I haven’t sung, let alone thought about!, since like 5th grade but today, I actually FELT it and enjoyed belting it out:

God bless America, land that I LOVE
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above

When I went to Italy a year or so ago, I swear, I couldn’t think above a certain threshold, as if there was a lid on my mind, it was an odd experience. It made me feel so grateful to live in America where our thought here is SO EXPANSIVE! It’s easier to think new thoughts, Less history in the way probably.

Let Freedom Ring It doesn’t mean freedom to say/do whatever you want! That’s the lowest level of freedom. It means True Freedom from all hate, anger, fear, resentment, blame, shame, guilt, judgement within ourselves! Then the light from above can come within and then it can guide our actions and shine through our hearts and then there will be Peace, and we will finally realize there is only one flesh we can wound, and it is our own

So we Freely Choose to lay down the weapons of our own creation, be they guns, hateful words, or disempowering thoughts, at the feet of our own selves and we rise up together hand-in-hand in Unity, Friendship, Celebration and Love
